This is not a business, but I am an experienced model trying to get my name out there a bit more.

Are you stuck and need a live model's energy in the room to inspire you? Do you have a commission or graduate project to finish and need to check the anatomical reality in person? I may be able to help...

Hi! I am Kate and have been modeling two years.

(And I know there are some out there who call themselves art models but are really pornography or sexually explicit models-- 

I am NOT-- 

I work with artists who do pastel, charcoal, oil, watercolor, clay, etc.). 

I have a life-long love of art and since I don't feel I can offer the work a great masterpiece of art, I prefer to offer myself as subject for artists as needed for their practice or project and in that way contribute to the art world in my small humble way.

I do take our work seriously and do not want contact from those who take art frivolously.  I am glad to work with college students who need to finish a term project, or an established artist who needs a certain pose or look for their work.  I usually work with established art groups who need a model.

My style is to be professional yet flexible and fun.

 I can set the whole session of poses ourselves for the new artist or can do a specific pose that you request as long as I find it appropriate and tasteful. I provide our own drapes to sit on.

Hours: Flexible hours 7 a.m. - 10 p.m. daily

Regarding Fees: $20 per hour is common in this area for private art sessions...but we will negotiate with groups, students who can show student I.D. and individual artists. 

I can work in your studio in the Cedar Rapids-Iowa City corridor 

or can sometimes provide my own workspace.

I am in my 40's, 5 feet, 9" tall, proportionate with long limbs and not perfectly fit but feminine in a classic sense.

I do the classic poses for life classes and try modern ones as well.  I also have a wardrobe of costumes and hats from Renaissance, 1860's, 1890's and Edwardian lawn dresses.  I enjoy capturing a "moment" or "story" in my poses when given a choice.
